APPLE PICKING

New York in the fall is the most beautiful sight. Every autumn, my family and I head out to "Outhouse Orchards." It's a darling family-run farm that offers plenty of things to do and even eat. It has quickly become our yearly tradition.

Before summer ended, we got to explore the farm. The kids (Dylan, Skylar, and Carson - yes, all traditionally boy names!) loved picking for apples and pears, running through the pumpkin patch, riding the tractor, and playing in the inflatable bounce house and slides. Everything was all set up for autumn celebrations, which of course, means that the holidays are just stones away. Can you believe it?

We had a blast under the sun. On top of exploring, our bellies were satisfied with the local goods. If you decide to head out there, be sure to grab yourselves a pumpkin cheesecake and also warm apple cider donuts (it's to die-for, and don't forget the cinnamon sugar!).

There are plenty of activities to do and lots of beautiful sights to see. It makes you want to jump in the piles of leaves again and again, because let's face it... why not?
